ETSI TS 102 822-6-3 deals with the exchange of personal metadata. A request for modifying data is specified in this specification and is referred in H.752 (ex H.IPTV-CPI).

This specification provides an initial industry consensus on the exchange of personal metadata, such as user preferences, usage history, demographic and other information for digital TV broadcasting. This specification is implemented in a number of devices.

The referenced standard has completed the rigorous and comprehensive review and approval process of the ETSI. The first version of ETSI TS 102 822-6-3 standard (V1.1.1) was approved and published in Jan. 2006. The second version of ETSI TS 102 822-6-3 standard (V1.2.1) was approved and published in Mar. 2008. The third version of ETSI TS 102 822-6-3 standard (V1.3.1) was approved and published in May 2009. The forth version of ETSI TS 102 822-6-3 standard (V1.4.1) was approved and published in July 2010. The fifth version of ETSI TS 102 822-6-3 standard (V1.5.1) was approved and published in Nov. 2011.This version (V1.6.1) including the referenced text was approved and published in Dec. 2012.
